"There was something special about family by choice. It wasn’t blood that held us all together. It was loyalty. Love."
"It was him—plain and simple. It was having my best friend become my lover, my heart, and the center of my world."
A beautiful story of two best friends who fall in love with each other. I love new-adult college romances and this book truly delivers an engaging story of two people who realizes that they both have their soul mates in each other. Drew and Trent are two characters who takes us on their journey effortlessly and leaves us hanging at the end with one hell of a cliffhanger…!!
"I felt lucky to love him in that moment. I understood exactly why I could. I tucked that feeling deep down inside me, because I was sure I would need it later."
I loved Drew and Trent and their friendship. Their deep friendship and emotional bond is evident right from first page and so is their conflicting feelings towards each other. Drew is the daredevil who thrives on taking risk and is a street-racer and Trent is the frat president and footballer who is his protector making sure he is safe. They both have a deep bond which strengthened by years of their friendship. Drew and Trent were so sure of themselves and their love that their transition from friends to lovers was angst free. They both were accepting of their feelings and their love for each other.
"His body stiffened. “Your hands feel like you slept in the arctic!” “It’s cold out.” “Take your shirt off.” “I’m over here freezing and you want me to get undressed? I feel the love.” I teased."
Their relationship took time to develop and once they both confessed their feelings it was a beautiful and sexy journey. The sexual chemistry and the way the author has built it up is fantastic. I loved their stolen glances and their first times with each other. They both were passionate, intense, experimenting and quiet simply hot together. The way they explored their sexual chemistry was really really
"I felt him on a different level. I shied away from saying a soul-deep level even though that’s what I suspected. His energy charged mine. Kind of like a battery being plugged in. It was impossible not to feel his presence."
Another thing I really liked was the street-racing element in the story. It was interesting to read a story with racing as the theme. The author has done a fantastic job in detailing the racing scenes. Reminded me of watching fast and furious and all those racing movies..!! And that Cliffhanger....!!!The wait will kill me..!!! I really really want to know what happens next..!! In fact I am dying to know what happens next..!! I hate cliffhangers and the one in this book is pure torture…!!!!
